DANCING - during the afternoon including instruction for beginners COMBAT - Informal pick-up matches and a “Flower Tourney” wherein fighters will be judged on several criteria by the Ladies’ Bower- heraldry on armor, best greeting to Ladies’ Bower, fighting prowess and style, question and answers. COMPETITION - “SHORTBREAD VARIATIONS” Prizes for Best Variation on the Classic Recipe (using medieval ingredients), Most Unusual Ingredient/s (may be modern ingredient, must be edible!) and Best Use of Shortbread as a Construction Material (use homemade or commercial shortbread, edible or not, medieval theme, size limit: 12” x 12”. Let us know if you DO NOT want your creations consumed at Bardic Circle. LUNCH - available on site, noon-2:00 p.m. FEAST- 6:00 p.m., limit 50. A simple country feast for a spring evening.
